Baccarat 19th Century Opaline Crystal Glass Large Vase Blue Gold Enamel

This is an Old Baccarat large vase (pot/flower vase/flower base/interior/object) made of opaline crystal glass with gold enamel, which was a prototype for the third Paris World's Fair in 1855. It dates from approximately 1845-1870. The heavy, jewel-like beautiful milky white glass is adorned with embossed floral patterns, raised with enamel coloring, and the rim is decorated with gold. This blue color is extremely rare among Baccarat's opaline vase collection. Since it is a work from before 1936, there is no Baccarat signature. It is undoubtedly an exceptional piece among the opaline glass exhibited by Baccarat at the Paris World's Fair, crafted by select glass artisans from across Europe. This is a very rare and difficult to obtain item. The height is approximately 7.95 inches. There are minor age-related scratches, but it is in a very beautiful condition. There are visible lines that resemble cracks or crazing, but these are firing cracks (so-called burrs) from the mold-blowing process during production and are not considered damage. This is an antique item.
