
Iga Ware Imura Kosei Mitsuo Ear Handle Flower Vase
This is a Mimi-tsuki Hanaire (flower vase) by Imura Kōsei (Mitsuo), a copy of old Iga ware. It was purchased by my grandmother at a solo exhibition a long time ago. The condition is good, as it has only been displayed for appreciation. The wooden box is no longer available. The vase features a powerful firing typical of Imura Kōsei (Mitsuo) and a dynamic form characteristic of old Iga ware. The glaze applied to the entire body has impressive thickness and flow, creating a deep expression reminiscent of natural glaze. The rough clay texture and rich glaze tone are harmoniously balanced, making this a striking piece for display. Height: approximately 9.84 inches. Maximum width: approximately 3.94 inches. The diameter of the opening is shown in the last photograph.
