Kaneshige Kosuke Bizen Ware Tokkuri Sake Bottle Vase Flower Holder

This is a Bizen flat jar sake bottle made by Kaneshige Kōsuke, a holder of Okayama Prefecture's Important Intangible Cultural Property. It can be used as a sake vessel or as a single flower vase. It comes with a wooden box (four-sided frame), a matching cloth, and a bookmark. There is a potter's mark (image 16). It has sesame speckles with a slightly kiln-changed appearance (image 13). The height is 5.43 inches. The outer diameter of the mouth is 1.42 inches. The body diameter is 4.29 inches. Its weight is 381g.
