Koishiwara Ware Vase Flower Pot
$279.23
This is a large jar by Shirato-san from Koishiwara-yaki, Shirato Kiln, a famous pottery from Fukuoka Prefecture. The mouth diameter is 8.27 inches. The width and depth are approximately 12.60 inches. The height is 11.81 inches. This artist created a new Koishiwara-yaki by fusing Koishiwara-yaki and Hagi-yaki. This is a posthumous work, so such pieces will not appear again. The soft wavy lines and the gray color visible through the milky white are very elegant. As it has aged, there are some slightly stained areas. It was used for display, having only held branches once. It is a used item.
