Mino Ware Akajino Hand Pail Vase By Kobayashi Takeharu Tea Ceremony Flower Vase

This is a "Red Shino Hand-Held Flower Vase" by Takeharu Kobayashi of Chikurin Kiln, a traditional pottery artist of Mino ware. This is a very rare and valuable hand-held type, not often seen in the market. It is a very powerful and tasteful work, with the warm texture of mugwort clay peculiar to Shino ware, and a beautiful expression of vibrant scarlet and dark brown gradations. The front, back, left, and right sides have completely different expressions, so you can enjoy various sceneries depending on the flowers you arrange and the place you display it. This is a valuable item that comes with a shared box (wooden box with the artist's calligraphy and seal) and a detailed pottery history paper from that time. It is in very good condition with no noticeable scratches or chips. There are stains and scuffs on the wooden box due to age, but the characters and seals are clearly legible.
