Ryukyu Glass Inamine Seikichi Vase Ikebana Blue Glass Earth Pattern - 1

Ryukyu Glass Inamine Seikichi Vase Ikebana Blue Glass Earth Pattern

$161.93

This year's New Year's decoration was a beautiful single flower vase. It is made of vibrant blue Ryukyu glass by Moriyoshi Inamine, with an engraved seal. This piece is created by immersing high-heat molten glass in water mixed with white coral soil and red coral soil from Yomitan Village, where the studio is located. The glass and soil components merge, creating a warmth like pottery (Yachimun), a unique rough texture, and beautiful crack-like patterns. Its material is glass, the technique is “domon” (earth pattern), and the color is blue. Its use is as a single flower vase. The width (center part) is approximately 5.91 inches. The vertical width (bottom) is approximately 2.76 inches. The height (longest part) is approximately 5.31 inches. It has been stored by an amateur.
