This is a work by Shoji Hamada, a Living National Treasure. Shoji Hamada (1894-1978) was a ceramic artist representative of Mashiko ware and was recognized as the first holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property "Folk Craft Ceramics" (Living National Treasure). This vase features a technique called "Ehakeme," where white clay is applied with a brush, and then patterns are drawn over it with iron glaze. The diameter is approximately 6.69 inches. The height is approximately 9.84 inches. The condition is good. It comes with a shared box. As it is an old item, there are some minor scuffs.
