Okura Art China Kinshoku Rose Large Plate 27cm Gold Etching White Porcelain

This large plate measures approximately 10.63 inches in diameter and 3.15 inches in height. It is a long-selling design “Kinshoku Rose” from Okura Art China. It is a vase with an elegant shine, drawn with differences in the luster of gold. The “Kinshoku” (etching) uses a sandblasting method. A masked pattern is applied to the fired white fabric, and fine sand is sprayed to carve the surface of the fabric, creating a relief motif. When gold is applied and fired, a difference in gold luster appears between the masked part and the carved part, making the pattern stand out. Okura Art China, an imperial warrant holder, is praised as “Sevres blue, Okura white” and is unmatched in its whiteness, hardness of porcelain, and smoothness of its surface. It is also Japan's representative high-grade Western tableware, supplied to guesthouses. This item has been stored at home for a long time by an amateur.
