Strehla Jug Vase 1309 423g Mid-century German Art Pottery Fat Lava

This jug-type vase from Strehla, a state-owned enterprise (VEB) in East Germany, was handmade in the 1960s-70s. The bottom is engraved with “Strehla”. The inside has an ink-like color. The vivid light blue and sleek form are attractive. It measures approximately 8.27 inches in height. The base diameter is approximately 3.23 inches. The mouth has an outer diameter of approximately 1.81 inches and an inner diameter of approximately 1.57 inches. The form number is 1309. It weighs 423g. As an old vase, it has small scratches, scuffs, and light signs of use. There are irregularities on the body and inside the mouth from manufacturing. Faint crazing, developed over time, is visible in places. The tin can used as a photo prop is not included.
