Moser Bohemian Crystal Vase Oroplastic Frieze 24K Gold Hand Polished

This is a masterpiece of 20th-century Bohemian cut glass, designed around 1930. It symbolizes the advanced techniques of Moser, known as the “King of Glass.” The heavy body features deep cross-hatch cuts and elaborate diamond (pyramid) facets that beautifully reflect light. The upper central part is adorned with an “oroplastic” frieze, a hallmark of Moser, where floral patterns are sandblasted or etched and then lavishly decorated with 24-karat gold. This gold detailing is hand-polished with agate or hematite stones, emitting an elegant and unique glow. Moser never uses chemical polishing, adhering to traditional hand-finishing. The bottom features precise star cuts. Although this piece is unsigned, as was common for Moser at the time, it meets all authentication criteria for a genuine article. The sound resonance is a short, clear echo (approx. 4-6 seconds), characteristic of Moser's lead-free potash glass. It has a substantial feel, with a thickness of over 0.39 inches (10mm) and a weight of approximately 4.41 pounds (2kg). The vase has a height of 13.78 inches (35cm).
