This is a beautiful Satsuma ware vase (decorative pot) with the Shimazu family crest “Maru ni Juuji” and the vermilion seal “Satsuma” on the bottom. It features a warm texture with fine crazing characteristic of Satsuma ware, adorned with vibrant pheasants, large peonies, and beautiful wisteria flowers, exquisitely detailed with gold accents. Its impressive size makes it a magnificent piece that exudes overwhelming elegance, suitable for both Japanese and Western-style rooms. The item is a vase/flower vase/decorative pot.
