Large Art Nouveau Poschinger Style Hand Blown Glass Vase Cobalt Blue
This is a handmade glass vase from the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) period, made in Europe around the 1910s. It features vivid cobalt blue glass applied three-dimensionally in a “teardrop” shape in three directions on the surface of transparent hand-blown glass, a traditional design of the era. This is a rare large model, approximately 8.66 inches in height, unlike the common standard size of around 5.91 inches. Due to its substantial size, it is beautiful not only as a single flower vase but also as a practical vase for branches or larger bouquets. The vase has no signature or engraving, as most products from that time were shipped with only a paper label. It is an art glass with a very atmospheric quality, judged to be from that period based on its beautiful form and glass texture. The opening diameter is approximately 2.36 inches. The height is approximately 8.66 inches. The circumference of the spherical part is approximately 23.62 inches. As an antique item, there are some minor scratches. Manufacturing bubbles characteristic of glass are visible. There are no major chips, cracks, or noticeable internal clouding, and it is in good condition for an old item.
