Baccarat Diamant Pierreries Tumbler Water Glass Crystal 1890s Antique

This is a large glass (tumbler/water glass) from the Diamant Pierry series, a masterpiece from the Art Nouveau period around the 1890s, by Old Baccarat (BACCARAT), renowned as the pinnacle of French crystal. It is made of thick, heavy, high-quality crystal, with intricate geometric cuts reminiscent of diamonds covering the entire body, a design emblematic of the Diamant series. Below the rim, there is a continuous band of cross-cuts, and below that, deep, sharp diamond cuts and circular lens cuts are regularly arranged, creating complex reflections and refractions with every reception of light. It features a stable tapered silhouette that gently widens towards the bottom, a carefully finished thick rim, and a heavy base. The substantial weight when held conveys the elegance characteristic of Old Baccarat. It can be beautifully used as a water glass or tumbler, and its size also makes it suitable as a vase or flower base. This is a magnificent item that, when placed in a space, radiates a jewel-like sparkle. As this piece was manufactured before 1936, it does not bear the Baccarat stamp. The dimensions are approximately 5.91 inches in height, 3.43 inches in mouth diameter, and it weighs about 615g. It is in very beautiful condition, as expected for an antique item.
