Baccarat Opaline Crystal Gold Gilt Large Vase 30cm

This is a large, gilded vase made of sparkling pure white opaline crystal from Old Baccarat, the pinnacle of French crystal. It measures approximately 11.81 inches in height. This vase, dating from 1860-80, is crafted from opaline crystal glass, named after the opal gemstone. It creates a clean and beautiful white color, unlike any previous glass, making it a rare and luxurious piece. The pure white body, with its jewel-like beautiful silhouette, is adorned with free-flowing Rococo-style gold gilding. Despite its age, it is in very beautiful condition, though it shows some historical wear.
