Goryeo Celadon Pierced Net Vase Flower Vessel Green Glaze 28cm Tall
This Goryeo celadon vase, “Kaisei” work, features an openwork mesh pattern. It is a large vase, approximately 11.02 inches in height. This is a beautiful vintage item from a collection. It is an old vase from a mother's collection, but it has been well-preserved with no notable defects, making it a beautiful piece. It is quite large compared to similar items often seen. The “Unkaku-mon” (cloud and crane pattern) is depicted using the “zougan” (inlay) technique, where white clay is embedded under the glaze to create crane and cloud motifs. It features a beautiful blue-green color from the iron-containing glaze and fine crack-like “kannyu” (crazing) on the surface. This is a Goryeo celadon jar (vase), a traditional Korean craft, characterized by its openwork mesh. It has a double structure with very fine mesh openwork on the exterior. It is popular not only as a flower vase but also as a decorative jar for interior design. It is characterized by the beautiful blue-green glaze unique to celadon. The circumference and mouth width are as shown in the images. The height is approximately 11.02 inches. There is no box. There are no noticeable scratches, dirt, or sun damage, and it is in good condition.
