Baccarat Diamant Pierreries Silver Biscuit Jar Pot Crystal Glass

This is a large biscuit jar, cookie jar, or candy pot from Old Baccarat, the pinnacle of French crystal. It is a “Diamant Pierreries” shaped and decorated crystal piece from around the 1890s, known as a famous crystal model series from the Art Nouveau period. It is a well-blended piece of crystal glass and silver decoration, radiating a diamond-like brilliance when light enters it, giving it a luxurious feel. It is a high-quality crystal with a typical Baccarat weight, and the splendor of the Diamant, with its wonderful flowing form, has not faded even after more than 100 years, possessing a unique presence. The bottom is cut in a radial pattern characteristic of Baccarat. This is a piece with a rare shape. Since this item predates 1936, it does not have the Baccarat stamp. The height is approximately 5.91 inches. The width is approximately 5.51 inches. There are minor scratches consistent with its age, but it is in a very beautiful condition. This is an antique item.
