Kyoto Satsuma Ware Kusube Gold Brocade Figure Vase Meiji Period - 1

Kyoto Satsuma Ware Kusube Gold Brocade Figure Vase Meiji Period

$168.50

This small vase, 4.88 inches high, is Satsuma ware, likely made in Kyoto during the Meiji period. It features splendid gold ornamentation and intricate painting. There is a Shimazu cross and a mark by Kusube. This is a rare item. It was part of my deceased father's collection and has been stored at home for a long time. There is no box. There is a large repair mark on the rim (photos 3, 5). As an antique item, it has scratches, dirt, and peeling gold.
