Thirteenth Kakiemon Sakaida Arita Ware Rock Chrysanthemum Vase White Porcelain

This is a “Nishiki Iwagiku-mon Vase” by Living National Treasure, 13th Kakiemon Sakaida. The bottom bears a hand-painted sometsuke inscription by the artisan, and it comes with its original wooden box, confirming its authenticity. The inside of the wooden box lid has a note indicating it's a commemorative item from 1963 (two years after his succession), along with the 13th Kakiemon's handwritten signature and seal. This is a valuable masterpiece with beautiful white porcelain and vibrant overglaze enamels. The height is approximately 9.06 inches. The width is approximately 6.30 inches. There is a very slight chip (hotsu) due to age on the bottom edge of the vase (the rim of the foot). Aside from that, there are no cracks or noticeable stains on the main body, and no major damage to the wooden box. There are no noticeable scratches, chips, or cracks on the vase itself. The wooden box has some stains and dirt due to age.
