Wakabayashi Sobie Zogan Kusamon Tsubo Vase Pottery Flower Pot Wood Box
This is an "Inlaid Grass Pattern Jar" by ceramist Sobie Wakabayashi, featuring beautiful form and patterns. It has been in my possession for nearly 20 years. The jar has an earthy, tasteful texture with delicate white and grey-blue grass patterns that appear to sway in the wind, expressed with intricate inlay techniques, giving it a dignified presence. It has a rounded silhouette like a Tang Dynasty jar, making it suitable as an interior decoration for homes or restaurants, or for arranging large branches. It comes with a wooden box (tomobako) with a signature and seal. The size is approximately: height: 10.83 inches, body diameter: 10.24 inches. Although it has been stored for a long time, its condition is very good. However, it has the unique character of an old, handcrafted artisan piece, and the bottom of the wooden box is damaged.
