Shimizu Uichi Yūsai Vase Iron Glaze Pottery - 1

Shimizu Uichi Yūsai Vase Iron Glaze Pottery

$548.46

This is a "Glazed" vase made by Uichi Shimizu, a Living National Treasure ceramic artist who mastered iron glaze. It comes in a shared box, with "Glazed Vase Uichi" and a red seal "Shimizu" on the lid, along with traces where a sticker was peeled off. The shared box has noticeable dirt and discoloration, but the vase itself has almost no noticeable dirt or damage. The vase has the potter's mark "Uichi" and a signature on the bottom. Water was filled to the neck and left overnight, and there was no leakage. The vase measures approximately 7.68 inches in height, 4.88 inches in mouth diameter, 4.45 inches in neck diameter, 8.46 inches in body diameter, and 3.94 inches in base diameter, weighing 5.07 lbs. The shared box measures approximately 9.45 inches in length, width, and height, weighing 2.43 lbs. It has a handle, and the black color appears to be an iron glaze.
